It was a fairy-tale weekend. A sell-out crowd watched 'Kentucky Kid' Nicky Hayden defy his critics, and after two seasons of struggles and setbacks, take his maiden grand prix victory under the greatest imaginable pressure, at the first such event to be held on his home ground since 1994.

DTK captures all the action, emotion and personal drama that unfolded in the days leading up to the race and on race day itself. Shot on High Definition and Super 16 mm film, with additional footage from multiple on-bike cameras and breathtaking helicopter images, DTK takes the viewer inside the experience of 200 mph motorcycle racing with unparalleled, visceral intensity.

However, like its predecessor FASTER, DTK is much more than an eye-popping document of a sporting contest. It’s riveting popular entertainment: a character-driven story with a strong, simple hook. It tells the tale of a group of specialists – the MotoGP teams – with one thing on their minds: devising and executing the perfect plan, under massive pressure and with no margin for error, and walking away with the spoils of victory.
