Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about a feature that has been added to the garage; Garage Signature Cards.  Garage Signature Cards will allow you to embed a dynamically generated image into your signature that contains some information about your ride as well as the main thumbnail.  This data is 100% live and generated on every page load.

To add a Garage Card to your signature, simply go to Profile > Forum Profile Information: and then by the signature block, there is a link that says, 'Get Garage Signature Card' which will bring up a window with the available card designs.  Then you can easily copy and paste the BBCode provided to insert into your signature.

NOTE: At the moment, the 'Total Spent' portion of the card is not functioning correctly.

I fixed the total spent portion of the cards.  It now totals and displays correctly.  I am going to rework the way that the images are thumbnailed since it is making them a little distorted at the moment.

No.  I am a Network Administrator, but I am going to school for IT/Software Engineering and I would like to be a developer one day because administration is just too boring.  However, I did just finish coding the garage portion of the site--well, not really done yet, still beta--which I have totaled to just over 32,000 lines of code.  Took me a year to do it, so I hope you guys like it. Shocked

Wow, that's a lot of typing and testing. I always wanted to write a script that would automatically change my desktop background every so often like the photo screen savers do. But I have to learn programming first.

You have no idea.  I have worked on it 40+ hours a week at times.  I also have two other developers on the project and a hand full of testers and we just entered the beta stages.

Anyways, I don't know how to do the background thing, that would be a language that is still greek to me, like C++ or VisualBasic.

Hrmm...I tried to add the garage sig card but when I go to profile and try to access profile info I get "Internet explorer cannot open that site / operation aborted" message. thought maybe it was a cookie/security setting on this computer but got the same message message on a different computer. Any ideas what I need to do in order to fix this? Thanks!

That is the second time I have heard that, but it is working for me.  Let me take a look into it some more.

Quit using Internet Explorer, switch to Firefox it's better.

Yeah, never had a problem in FF.  Not to mention this site was developed for FF and not IE specifically.  However, on my computer FF and IE both work at that portion of the site.  On another computer I just tested on, I got that error twice, but after reloading the page it worked.  So I really don't have a definitive answer, just that IE fails again.

I hear that IE7 is more like FF but I've not tried it. Micro$ucks software don't do it for me, well other than XP since the wife is no good with Linux.

I got the error while testing with IE7.  FF3 should be coming out soon, and is supposed to be much better than previous versions.
