So I will officially start trying to gather some stuff to start giving away on the site once we hit 100 members. Although not all of our members are 'active' I will figure something out to get this thing going. More than likely there will be a minimum post count to participate, maybe that will entice some of them to start posting.
And for the main question.......What kind of stuff would you guys like to be given away? Please keep in mind that I am not making any money running this site, not yet anyways, so all the giveaways will have to be donated, or paid for by me. I dont mind paying out for giveaways, just dont expect me to be handing out Full Exhaust Sytems or anything too expensive.....as I definitely dont work 2 jobs for the fun of it.

Why don't you set up a paypal account and start accepting contributions from members to help offset the costs of giveaways. I'd drop in a couple bucks for that. in return maybe you can acknowledge the contributer with a logo or something next to his/her name. Just a thought.

Just a thought. or like with a contribution, it sets up a "premium" account or something that allows members into areas of the site only they can get in... i don't know... these are just suggestions.

I think gear would be a good giveaway prize. Maybe to start off small, some gloves or something.
Personally, I am looking into getting a leather jacket, but realize that is quite a bit more expensive. Then again, gear is sized and everyone is a different size so maybe not such a good idea. Just throwing some ideas out there.

i thought gear would be a good, but also realized that it is sized. I am thinking along the lines of like; stunting/gp vidz, moto gp for ps2/xbox, and maybe stuff like steel braided brake lines, solo seat cowls, and other assorted mods.

Those sound good!!
I just had a thought, you could also do gift certificates to certain places. I don't know how others would feel about that, but a gift certificate to newenough.com or something like that would be cool too.
I know that is pretty unoriginal, but every once in a while it might allow people to get something they really need. For example, I could apply a gift certificate to a jacket purchase.
I hate to give the impression that I am all about me, me, me, because that is not my intention. I would love some braided steel brake lines and would probably enjoy moto gp for ps2 also!!!

if we ever start doing stuff like apparel or stickers or something, you could just throw some of those in... it would also help with the money issue if the site sold them. again, i'm throwing ideas out from other forum boards i've been with.

well....it is operated by a computer, and is very similar to a printer, basically everything techonology related is my responsiblity, my door says Inormation Systems. I work at a company who manufactures, installs, designs and maintans theatrical stage equipment. everything from rigging, lights, motor control, curtains, opera pits, removable opera pits and support at theatrical stages across the country. all the informative lettering you see on rigging and stuff such as "fire exit" - "emergency exit" is all lettering cut of vinyl, very similar to auto vinyl. so we take care of all of that, and since it is technology related, i am responsible for it.

Gas Cards are an inexpensive yet much appreciated give-away. Also those discs to put under your kickstand to keep the bike level (you could even imprint it with the site logo).
Also, I'd contribute a donation to help keep the site up and/or offset costs.

I was actually at Laguna Seca and to get my party started early, my friend sent me Faster. Awesome DVD, brutal crashes, incredible talent.
I am not a gamer but I do watch the stunt/race stuff.
