So, I'm finishing up my winter makeover on my 94 hurricane and have a question. I just got this bike a little while ago and am still trying to figure out what it has and what it needs. I suspect it has a jet kit and was curious if there would be anyway to check without tearing into it? I know if it doesn't have one, it'll need one as it does have header back exhuast and a k&n. I'm taking it in April for a dyno and am hoping to have it running 100% by then so my buddies stockish busa doesn't punk me too hard lol Grin

94 would be an F2 by the way.  As far as if there is a way to determine if it has a jet kit without tearing into it, there is none that I know of.  Check in the specs section for stock hp, have it dynoed and will have your answer.

Sorry but even with a flat tire and 4 fouled spark plugs a stock "Busa" will punk an F2 very hard. Unless there are turns.

Last I checked there was no "f2" 1000...they were all f's as per the manual frame tag and vin...and the fact that it has other things done to it and 34k miles kn it is totally going to skew dyno results. I weigh 300lbs a d was still able to pull my buddies 03 zx-9r with relative ease...so on that note I will contact dynojet and check the spring rates for their carb springs and compare them to my own.

Ya, I didn't think the 600's where technically hurricanes. I see where the confusion came from there. From the research I've done it should be pretty leaned out with a k&n and a slip on. Mine is rich enough with that and full exhuast to still spit some 6-8" fireballs lol. I really hope to double check that the carbs are synched before the dyno run next month  Undecided

You mean aside from the fact that they had stickers that said "Hurricane" on them in the early days?
